About Joshua Godoy:

Joshua Godoy was born on Long Island, New York
and has been studying music since the age of 5. He
is fluent in both the piano and the French horn and
started writing music when he was nine years old.
In high school, Josh was a member of the marching
band, symphonic band, jazz ensemble, and the
Harlequin Players Pit Orchestra.

Joshua Godoy graduated Magna Cum Laude with
a bachelor's degree in Music Composition from the
University of Hartford's Hartt School of Music. He
later moved to Los Angeles and attended the
University of Southern California's Scoring for
Motion Pictures and Television program, studying with such film music
greats as Buddy Baker, Elmer Bernstein, Joe Harnell, Christopher Young,
and David Raksin.

In addition to writing and orchestrating music for dozens of films, Josh was
the first Associate Conductor for the
Golden State Pops Orchestra, and has
had his work performed by The Golden State Pops, The Brooklyn
Philharmonic, and The Hartford Symphony Orchestra. He has been
awarded the Ed Diemente Composition Award, the Louis Armstrong Jazz
award, the Harry Warren Endowed Scholarship for Scoring for Motion
Pictures and Television, and has won the Malverne School of Music annual
competition every time he has competed.
